Presentation
The greatest dancer...
Have you ever dreamed of being a pop star? Have you got the voice, the moves and the stage presence to make it in the big time? Well now you can sing, boogie and show the world your talent with SingStar Dance.
With 30 great songs to select from Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive to Living La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin, you'll find plenty of hits to strut your stuff to. If you're dancing, grab your PlayStation Move motion controller, mirror the moves of the on-screen dancers and give the performance of your life. If you're belting out the tune, pick up a SingStar Microphone and sing your heart out.
While you're lighting up the dance floor, check out what you look like in action by pressing the Circle button on your PlayStation Move motion controller. This allows you to flip between the original artist's video and your live performance being recorded through your PlayStation Eye camera.
Once the gig is over, you can take a look at your full performance and upload your highlights to My SingStar Online so the world can see your talent.
Gameplay
I bet that you look good on the dance floor
Clear a space in your front room, calibrate your PlayStation Move motion controller and take a deep breath - it's time to dance. If you've always wanted to be a performer but never fancied yourself as much of a singer, this is the perfect game for you.
While two people can pick up a SingStar Microphone and sing to their favourite tracks, two more can grab a PlayStation Move motion controller and bust some moves. Dance routines have been tailored to reflect the original music videos, so you can really feel like Lady Gaga's entourage while your partner sings Poker Face.
SingStar Dance has been carefully developed to offer a new experience that remains true to the SingStar series. The game can be played as a regular SingStar title if you don't fancy a dance and at the same time offers loads of extras and enhancements for those who want to throw some crazy shapes on the dance floor.
Rhythm is a dancer
Forget the dancing lessons; SingStar Dance is all you need to learn the moves to become the next big thing. When you calibrate your PlayStation Move motion controller with your PlayStation Eye camera, they will accurately measure your height and reach to ensure you get maximum points for your dancing efforts.
Follow the movements of the on-screen dancer while holding your PlayStation Move motion controller and mimic their actions to score points. The more accurate you are, the more points you get. As your dancing skills improve, try the dances in harder modes and see how many points you can score.
If you're really looking to impress, make each dance even more special by adding some cool effects to your PlayStation Move. Glittery stars or a silver trail will add some extra sparkle to your performance.
Multiplayer
I wanna dance with somebody
Up to four players can join in the fun of SingStar Dance, with two singing and two dancing. You can go mic to mic and see who the better duo is, dance solo, in partners or just turn I Like To Move It up full blast and have a crazy boogie with your friends.
There really is nothing better than watching yourself getting down to the beat of classic tracks like Everybody by The Backstreet Boys, or funky hits such as Gwen Stefani's What You Waiting For?
If you just fancy belting out some of your favourite tunes, eight of you can get together for a sing along in Pass the Mic Mode. So, get your friends round, put your dancing shoes on and party the night away with SingStar Dance.
